OHL has been awarded a new contract in Chile, worth close to 150 million euro, which includes engineering, construction and commissioning for the conversion and expansion of the copper sulfide processing plant at the Mantos Blancos concentrator, in Antofagasta. The project includes the revamping of the existing oxide line, the construction of part of a new sulfide line and the implementation of new equipment in the filtered and thickened flotation of the existing concentrator plant. The contract has been awarded by the mining company Mantos Copper, dedicated to the extraction and commercialization of copper, with a production close to 100 thousand tons of fine copper per year.

In addition to contracts in the mining sector, OHL was recently awarded a new solar PV project valued at 70 million euro in Chile. The contract includes the construction of the solar photovoltaic┬á farm “La Huella” which will have an installed power of 89 megawatts (MW) and will serve the region of Coquimbo, in the north of the country.
